Kathmandu / There are three  cities in  Kathmandu valley,Kathmandu city,Patan city or Lalitpur and Bhaktapur city. among them Patan city is oldest one.Patan  is the best known for its artistic heritage and  probably one of the oldest Buddhist City in the world.

 Another name of Patan city  is Lalitpur. The city is surrounded by 4 Stupas as 4 corners of Patan city , These have been built by the famous Emperor Ashoka.

Patan Durbar Square is the spectacular sight of Asia indeed which is really full of Hindu temples and Buddhist monuments with bronze gateways, guardian deities and wonderful carvings and many visitors come here to see the these monuments.

Patan Durbar square is the famous visiting place which is full of ancient places, temples, and shrines noted for their exquisite carvings.

There are three main courtyards- central Mul Chowk, Sundari Chowk and Keshav Narayan Chowk in the square.

The Major attraction of Patan Darbar Square are-Patan Museum,Hiranya Varna Mahavihar,Golden Window,Mahabouddha Temple,Golden Temple,Krishna Temple and many more old heritage sites .
